The book that my newest "published" work is here.
My five copies arrived today in the mail.
Rest Is Not A Four Letter Word.
A devo inspired by a previous sermon (one of two I gave at First UMC - Siloam Springs) AND Allison's "Ms. Kaylea, go to bed" declaration during the spring break mission trip.
One devo. Not a huge splash in the writing world, but it's one devo - and my name is in the book. (Check out page 130/131).
The book came on a day, when I am struggling to rest - to recharge my batteries. My body might have been shopping/hanging out with a friend today, but my brain was thinking of everything I "could" have been doing.
So, I'm rejoicing. I'm holding something in my hands I contributed to - was a part of - something I created and will hopefully minister to women of all ages.
I'm also being reminded of the lesson I've been learning all year.
Rest is not a four letter word.
it's vital. Almost as vital as a glass of water on a hot day.
It's what I needed today.
