Welcome to the February 1
One Little Word Blog Hop.
One Little Word Blog Hop.
The blog hop is designed for alumni and members of the Ali Edwards' class at Big Picture Scrapbooking to show off their progress in this year's class or just showcase what they are learning about their word for 2012.
My word for 2012 is Rest.
Here's my completed January assignment.
I'm still trying to embrace my word - which is hard, since I'm neck-deep in several big projects at work (church).
I'm really enjoying the class because it's making me stop and focus on my word. Which means I turn off the world (and work) and really reflect on things.
So in a way, the class is making me "rest" in my word.
For that, I'm grateful.
You can read other posts about my One Word journey (I've been doing this off and on since 2007) here:
Oh yeah, I'm doing the project digitally, so my credits are:

I considered going all digital and like you am finding the class helps me focus on my word which I need due work as well. Love the way you've done the individual cards too, nice edges.

ReplyDeleteHi Cynthia
DeleteThanks for your encouragement for both my page and my blog. one of my goals this year is to find a new focus for my blog - which means I need to "rest" in order to enjoy it.
I'm sure the word will be a challenge - but that's kind of why it "chose" me! Because I have something to learn!
Great representation of the word rest. I really like how you did the cards, too. Your pages look restful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Donna - I appreciate your encouragement. It was a fun page to build!
Deletei just love the happy color scheme of your pages (and your blog i might add). looking forward to seeing more this year with OLW!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly. I'm really enjoying the class. This is one of my favorite blog designs I've made - which is probably why I haven't changed it in quite a while!

DeleteGreat word - and I see that already it's showing you different sides of itself. Blessings on your rest-full journey!
ReplyDeleteJan - Yep... It's amazing at what I'm learning - I don't rest well (which is why I just woke up from a 15 hr nap/sleep - I just crashed after a long month at work!)
