Blog Tour: Hello, Hollywood (Review)

Fun, light and full of humor. Hello, Hollywood, Book 2 in the "Backstage Pass" series by Janice Hanna Thompson is a delight to read.

In this book, Thompson  has created a story around Athena Pappas, the head writer for Stars Collide (the TV series featured in the series). around) The story is a mix of mix of "My Big Fat Greek Life" meets Hollywood as we are introduced to Athena's "loud and crazy" Greek family.

In Hello, Hollywood, Athena struggles with controlling things on the TV show - and even her own life - especially after producers introduce a new writer, straight from the comedy stage of Vegas. Readers are taken for a stroll following Athena's life - and along the way, experience some ups, downs and everything in between.

This was simply a fun book, that was a delightful companion to the first work in the series - Stars Collide.  It's a solid three on a scale of one to five.

Fun plot, fun characters and a fun ending. Honestly, if you are looking for a light, happy read this fall, pick up Hello, Hollywood and consider reading Stars Collide. You won't be disappointed.

When it comes to love, one thing's for sure--it doesn't follow a script!

Athena Pappas is the head writer on Stars Collide, one of the most popular sitcoms in television history. But when Vegas comedian Stephen Cosse is brought in to beef up the show's suddenly sagging ratings, she starts to worry about her job. Sparks fly as the competition--and attraction--between the two writers heats up. Athena has never had a problem writing the romances of her characters. So why is her own love life so hard to script?

With humor and a Hollywood-insider viewpoint, Hello, Hollywood! delivers lots of laughs as Athena and Stephen discover that not being in control of the plot of their lives might just be the best thing that ever happened to them.
