Blog Tour: God's Girl Bible (Review)

It's pink, it's customizable and it's designed for high school girls.

Hayley DiMarco has created a study Bible that well, combines the devos from her God Girl resources, in a format that will appeal to older gals.

From the "God girl" stories (the profiles of notable women in the Bible) to the resources (see the list below), this Bible is designed to be an all-encompassing resource.

Written in the God's Word translation (which has been endorsed by people like Billy Graham and Josh McDowell) the Bible is quite readable. (I did check out the translation background - and while I'm not familiar with any of the translation team, knowing that McDowell and Graham endorsed it was well, at least a "plus" for me.)

Since I'm not the "target demographic" I asked Taylor, a high school senior at my church, to take a look at the Bible, and tell me her honest thoughts:

Her response:
I really liked the overall bible, the only thing I didn't like was the purple font. That was just a picky thing from me which shows that it was really good!

I love that this bible not only has devotions that are mixed into the text but also has sections called "Ask Yourself." These sections give questions that relate to teens' everyday lives and has biblical support right around the questions.

I thought the prayers were nice, I liked that they were not too long because I know tat I start to zone out when the prayers are really long and I am not totally focused.  I LOVED that there is a "Quick Relief" Index that has almost every topic that I could think of that would come into question.

The "God Girl Glossary" is also extremely helpful.  The beginning of every book had the main focus of the book, the important terms and verses to know, and who the the book was written by/for and an approximate date of when it was written.

I would definitely use this bible, I love bibles like this!!!

I would recommend this bible to any teen girl who was looking for a new study bible. It would also make a great first study bible!!!  I loved it!
